Obtaining Your Messaging Data
If you're using the telegram 下载 messaging service as a way to stay in touch with friends, family, and colleagues, you might be concerned about your data security. The platform has made efforts to protect user user details.
Here are the steps to fetch your information from the platform:
Go to The platform's account settings by opening the app, tapping the three vertical lines on the top left corner of your screen usually visible in the menu, and then tap Settings. Navigate to 'Help and Feedback' option.
Alternatively, you can also use the web app version of Telegram messaging by logging in with your phone number or existing account. Once logged in, go to the settings page.
In the settings page of the app or web app, scroll down, and tap on 'Help and Feedback'. You'll see multiple options such as 'Secret Chats', but what you need to tap is 'Request General Data to Your Email'.
You can ignore the warnings that come up about leaving the platform and being unable to re-download the data via the app for the minimum of 3 days. If a user finds this alternative, they are probably worried about online privacy, so they can proceed with requesting data.
When you tap on 'Request General Data to Your Email', you'll be required to enter your email address where the data will be sent through a thorough security check. Enter your email and confirm it.
Within a certain amount of time, usually 3 to 5 days check your email to find out whether your data has been sent over to you by Telegram: the messaging service. If successful, this data includes chat logs and files and photos, such as shared files, messages, and more, depending on the features used.
As well as this personal data, the download will also contain a file that logs every action made inside the Telegram app - including registration information.
